Doug fir’s grain is relatively straight but can have some wave to it. Doug fir is quite strong and often used for structural beams. This wood is best suitable for outdoor or indoor applications where strength is required for structural purposes. An ideal option for outdoor patio, pergolas, or pavilions – either stained or painted.
