The Strong-Drive SD Connector screw was intended expressly to replace nails in certain Simpson Strong-Tie connectors, and it is the only screw approved for that use. Many popular Simpson Strong-Tie products have been tested and approved for use with the load-rated SD screw. Screws are easier and more convenient to install than nails in some applications, and the SD screw's single-fastener load values exceed those of conventional 10d common or 16d common nails.
  • Optimized heat treating for ductility and strength
  • Shank is specifically designed to match the fastener holes in Simpson Strong-Tie connectors
